The screen features a large notch, similar to the one on the previous iPhone X. It's a Super Retina XDR OLED display, similar to the iPhone 11 Pro, but with a larger 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels and a pixel density of 458 ppi. The screen supports the new 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and there's an oleophobic coating. The screen also supports HDR10, making it the same as the iPhone XS Max, with a noticeable increase in screen brightness to improve its previous performance. Furthermore, 3D Touch has been abandoned in favor of Haptic Touch, which is the preferred approach for improving screen responsiveness.

Security features: The phone is unlocked using Apple's Face ID, a significant improvement over the previous generation, the iPhone XS MAX.
